Emma, do you want to live a life of freedom and adventure? Are you wanting more than the daily grind? Me too. Welcome to the Emma Lovell, show a place where we talk about living a life you love. Now I'm your host, Emma Lovell, and my number one value is freedom. I've spent the last 14 years running a business and traveling the world, and now I take my husband and toddler along for the adventure too. It's possible, and I know you can create a life doing what you truly love as well. This podcast will inspire, motivate and encourage you to go after your dreams, to create a life you love and to live it now, not wait for a time and or someday in the future, I'll be sharing episodes weekly about how I harmonize business travel and self care. I'll also bring on incredible guests to share their journeys, the wins, the challenges, and how they're creating a life they love. Let's jump in and get dreaming. This is a space for you to manifest a life you love.
01:03
I would like to acknowledge and recognize Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first peoples of this place, now known as Australia. I am grateful for the continuing care of the land, waterways and skies where I work, live, listen, learn and play from here on, you can bear country and from wherever you are listening, I pay my respects to the elders past and present.
01:26
Hello and welcome to today's episode I am going to be sharing with you all about my most recent retreat, the rest and receive retreat at kangaroo Valley. So you, if you've been following along, you will know that in January, we officially launched rest and receive as a company. So it's now its own company, which is so exciting. So we have Emma Lovell. And this is the Emma Lovell show. Emma Lovell is my brand, and that is all things, speaking, consulting, pleasure life, so the art of pleasure, book and book tour events and things like that, and then everything that's about retreats. So that's hosting retreats, teaching people about how to host profitable retreats. All the things in that space they now live in, rest and receive company, which is so exciting. We do have a crossover which is very exciting with the the leisure life retreat, which will be hosted in Nepal, Kathmandu and Naga court in Nepal in November. So that is the leisure life retreat. So that's bringing some the Emma Lovell brand and the rest are received together. But otherwise they are two separate companies, which has been a huge change. So this retreat was really exciting, because it was the first official retreat as a company, and it just felt really, really wonderful to be doing that. The other really special thing about this retreat was that I actually had this location and this retreat planned more than two and a half years ago. So I had booked it, I'd want to say around July 2022, after hosting my first ever retreat on the Gold Coast,
03:07
my first official retreat. The rest of receive retreat on the Gold Coast. And then I wanted to host another one. And I chose kangaroo Valley in Northern New South Wales, that retreat quickly. So it was like selling amazingly, pretty much cleaning very close to sold out. And then
03:24
I went and I visited this amazing location, the Barranca estate. Now the Barranca retreats in kangaroo Valley. And I just, oh, it was so amazing. I was so excited to get there. They had this this within the valley, there's this beautiful escarpment, so there's these rock faces all around you. There's animals. There, donkeys, horses, pigs, goats, just such beautiful LA Shetland pony, beautiful animals on the land, a creek and all this, just big, beautiful nature. And then the villas, the the cabins, are absolutely, I wouldn't call them cabins. I call them villas. They are absolutely stunning state of the art design, gorgeous, massive glass windows, high ceilings, and just totally, totally immersed in the nature. And I went there with my husband and son to visit. It felt really special. And then, sadly, around November 2022,
04:19
due to fire and flood damage, the council decided they had to fix the road, which was, you know, of course, but sadly, for the venue and for the locals, the they had to close and so we had to change venue. And
04:36
all my guests were fine, because they didn't know what they were missing out on. And we found a beautiful other location in kangaroo Valley, and we held the retreat in February 2023, but
04:48
I didn't get to host that retreat, and I was I was devastated, because I knew it was something special. So it took two years from that original one to get.
05:00
Planned again, and I can tell you that even in October, November 2024
05:04
I wasn't sure if, oh, certainly, November, December. I was really not sure if this one was going to go ahead again. But I'm so grateful that I trusted and held on to the vision, something just kept calling me back. I ended up speaking with a company. I was working with a company to help they put together packages. So they helped me with the caterer, the yoga and the venue itself. And they helped me to, I guess, kind of renegotiate and to establish, re, establish what we could do. And,
05:40
yeah, we were able to
05:44
kind of create a package that could work for the group that I had, and then it all opened up again, and we ended up having eight gorgeous people, eight for the first night. We had one lady come for the one night. So really happy I could make that possible. She'd been trying to come for two years, and it was local, so she was able to come just for the one night. She's actually my publicist, Erin, she's been on this podcast, and to make that possible so she could come, and she said she couldn't believe what she got from 24 hours. I only make that available to people too that I know will kind of fit in and and who are willing and understand that they're only going to get one day, but a lot can happen in a day.
06:25
Then we had seven others, including a retreat support for me, that was Amanda Yuen. So Amanda in a nourishment specialist. She helps people to nourish their body, soul and mind, but she has a love language with food, a love language that I do not possess. And so she came and helped to we had the catering done, but she helped to present the food, to do breakfast, to make sure that there was food available, and but also to support in terms of prepping for the sessions and the workshops, and for me personally as a host, it was just so incredible to have that, to have somebody on my side, on my team, somebody to bounce things off, somebody to be an extra support for the group. And it meant that I could fully focus on my role as a host. So incredible, incredible work from Amanda. We had two ladies come together who I had met many, many years ago, one of them many, many years ago, one of them 18 months ago, and they actually posted today, which was so beautiful, and they had never done anything like this, but had been watching and watching, and then reached out on LinkedIn and said, Hey, when are you going to run your next three run your next retreat? I think we want to come. And I was so happy that they came together. And I love when people come for the first time, and they just feel called to say yes, and and then they do it. So they were there, and they were incredible. The most joyful laugh, the most joyful energy between them. And amazing to see two people who work together, who also have such a beautiful connection. And it was really wonderful and interesting to see them. We had, we had a beautiful lady who had signed on to my walking retreat, lots of alignment, lots of people coming back from the past or had been circling around and then come in, lot of people who were just trying to make it happen. So we had a lady Isabel. Who had signed on for my walking retreat. I went to try and host a walking retreat in actually, would have been in March 2022, which is soon after the kangaroo Valley one.
08:35
A lot of lessons learned from why that didn't work. It's why. Basically, I started teaching people how to run profitable treats because it wasn't going to be wasn't going to be profitable. But also, my life, we just had a major crisis in our family, with my nephew being diagnosed with a terminal illness. We
08:52
weren't really clear on the intention of the retreat. I was co hosting it, and it all just got a bit, you know, from the original vision of a walking retreat on country. It all had got really sort of jumbled, and reminded me the importance of intention. So gracefully and graciously,
09:13
we we refunded the two people who joined up at that who joined on straight away. And, you know, it took another two years for us to get Isabelle there. But she it was meant to be. It was meant to be. So she fit. It was amazing to see her in the group. We had a lovely woman, Julie, who was returning. She we met on a retreat ourselves, on the rose farm retreat, and then she attended my northern New South Wales retreat last year, rest and receive in northern New South Wales, and it was a really special time. And then she has just completed her second book, and I will be launching that soon. And then it so it was a really nice time, and it's been amazing to see her evolve and her journey. And then we had
09:56
Georgia, Georgia. Georgia.
10:00
Georgia was celebrating her Oh,
10:04
two year stroke aversary. So two years ago, Georgia had a stroke, and
10:10
they incredibly came through it. She's learnt to walk to talk again. She has three children. She's now back at work, and she joined on three weeks before and had been she used to work with my husband. That's how we know each other. And she followed along and commented on how wonderful these things looked. A private messaged and said, I'd love to have you one day, maybe Nepal, if that's not too big an adventure, or maybe it's, you know, she said, I said, I want to get back into doing things, and she said, Well, actually, I want to go sooner. I think I look at kangaroo Valley. And she booked the next day, and I just but the thing was, Georgia hadn't been anywhere by herself for two years.
10:55
She got on a plane by herself. She went to airport, got on a plane by herself, got the cab to her friend's house, spent the night at her friend's house, seeing a friend, Jensen, and
11:06
then got to my dad's house in the morning, and I drove us all down to kangaroo Valley.
11:12
The courage and the bravery and the adventure in her
11:17
Oh, it was just
11:20
remarkable.
11:23
Um, and now she said, now she's She already said she wanted to write a book, so it looks like she's going to come to the author's retreat. And she also wants to start hosting her own retreats for stroke survivors. So, ah,
11:39
I'm just so grateful that she said yes and that she trusted herself, believed in herself, but no, trusted in me and
11:47
would come with me. It
11:50
is such a privilege and an honor to toast to host people, to coach people, to guide people, and to see them
11:59
make changes in their life, and I know there's so much more to come for Georgia. I'm really excited, and we're going to work together on her future retreats. She's been messaging me every day, so we're going to get that happening. So I'm really, really excited. She's going to come and learn how to do retreats with me at the retreat training days. So
12:17
this is what can happen from a retreat. Um, personally, I, I'm, I'm feeling a little bit run down now. Um, knowing me, what I felt after Sri Lanka,
12:28
I
12:31
just a bit like head coldy, that's okay. Um,
12:35
probably need to get a bit more sleep. And vitamin C, Amanda said,
12:42
and
12:44
just, yeah, I'm just taking it gently these, like these few days, and I felt very happy to come home and see my boys, but I didn't pine for them and miss them so much the way I did last retreat. Either I missed them, but I wasn't I was feeling really feeling it in Sri Lanka last year,
13:04
yeah, but it was my energy that was different. So as well, I think there's so much more clarity for me now in terms of how the businesses work together. I think I went in really prepared, really protecting and taking care of my energy. After the workshops, I went and had time to myself. So one of the after one workshop, I walked up and I patted the horses by myself and had a cry and just reconnected. I mean, horses are so incredible. I walked up to the fence. They watched me for a little bit, and then all four of them walked down to the fence to say, Hello.
13:40
They're just so wonderful. They were shy horses that one of them is one of the biggest horses in the world, which is incredible, tallest horse in the world. Just magnificent creatures. And their heart, radiation that they have, they have their heart like kind of energy goes out from them five times further than a humans does. So you feel very connected to them, even at a distance. I really believe that there was a beautiful creek, and I made the point of going by myself, and I went on the last day after the last workshop, and actually ran. I haven't felt like running for a very long time, and I just really felt energized. And it reminded me a lot the bush and the valley, and then the cradle, even itself, reminded me a lot of where I used to live as a kid. And I used to just go for bush walks in my teens, run down the fire trail, run down to the river, walk back up, totally alone. I felt a bit daunted at first, bit nervous, I think because I don't know, yeah, just like, Oh, I'm really by myself. It's really like, Oh, I hope I don't fall over or something, something I didn't think about when I was a teen. I always took, like, a snake bite kit and all stuff like that. But it was really special to just have some time by myself. And I knew that was really important.
14:57
We had beautiful can.
15:00
As a gift, and that was something that really I love the energy of those I've been working with Anastasia sickas from Moon school for a long time, and we've created these candles. We've still got a little bit of work to tweak them to make them absolutely rest and receive on brand, but we had them the beautiful transformation scent amethyst crystals is, and she puts glitter in them for a bit of sparkle. And we had that candle blowing the whole time. But I also gift that to my clients. So that was really wonderful. I also gifted some of them my book. Some of them already had my book. So they got a different book. They got flowetry by Emma walkenshaw. And some others got a book from Justine McLean, our business colleague, business money magnet, because people were there for their business. These are some of the gifts that I give. They've got to receive something, but also it's really nice, and it's part of our ethos that rest to receive is to surprise and delight. Something I learnt from my wonderful women and mentor, Emma Isaacs and the business chicks team. And I really love that to always be surprising and delighting your guests. So look, each woman is going to have their own takeaways. You know, I always say to them, the transformation happens at the transactions. So from the moment you commit to an experience like this, whether it's retreat or a trip or an adventure, even to a new learning. Or course, you the moment you commit and the moment you put down the money, you are starting to transform. And so they'd already been on the journey before they even got there. And then I usually say, you will, you may receive things right away, like people were receiving things on the retreat. Um, even I received, like, a speaking opportunity. I received a payment from a client, you know, those sorts of things. But generally I say six months after, like, in the next six months. Because, you know, some of the things takes time, takes time to make change. It takes time to get set things in motion, but putting it out there, saying it out loud, having the accountability and support of the group, all of that is working for you, and it's working towards your goal.
17:08
Our focus at the retreat is to live a life we love to you know, bring in the pleasure life. So how can you you bring more leisure, pleasure, joy into your life? It's not just about kicking goals and running the business, and it's really about connecting back to themselves. But we actually did some interviews with each of the women, so I'm going to stop talking, and I'm going to share what they had to say. I think it's certainly more meaningful from them. I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am that they all trusted and said yes, and came for the experience. It is officially the last rest and receive retreat. I've run, oh my gosh, India, Nepal, Gold Coast, kangaroo Valley, northern New South Wales, and now kangaroo Valley again. So I've run six rest and receives. And it was the last one, because the company is rest and receive, our ethos, our base level of all retreats that we run in the future as a company, as people we train, we'll always have this element of rest and receive, when you take time and space for yourself, when you rest, and I'll do some today too, because I'm feeling it, then you have the opportunity to receive. Then the opportunities will come. My word for this year is calm. When I'm calm, I can be productive, and then there's opportunities. But if I'm not calm first, if I don't take rest first, if I don't make time and space, then I can't receive all these wonderful things. And that's what rest to receive is about. So we are looking to run a retreat again, similar time of year, same venue, because it was fantastic, and bringing in a co host, and we will work on what the retreat is called, what the intention is, but it will be sort of a new start to the year kind of thing. So watch this space. Check out rest and receive.au
18:58
rest and receive.au forward slash events for what's coming up. As I mentioned earlier, we do have the authors retreat coming up. We have some retreats host, hosted by people who've been trained by risk to receive so you can check those out there. You can also see our if you are interested in hosting a retreat, you can see our training days retreat. On retreat training days. We have some in Gold Coast and Perth. And then, of course, this Nepal, the pleasure life retreat, which is coming up at the end of the year. So there's only four spots left for that, so rest and receive.au forward slash events. If any of those tickle your fancy, give me a call. Let's have a listen to what the beautiful guests had to say. And thank you for being here. And thank you. I just Yeah, I feel really grateful.
19:44
Can you tell me your name? Ellie Ann Lewis, and what do you do? I'm the business owner of a recruitment company in sync. Recruitment group in sync. Yes, awesome. And why did you want to come on this retreat? I was
19:59
tired.
20:00
It.
20:01
I needed some time out.
20:04
It's been a busy year,
20:06
and this was perfect timing, perfect and location was great as well. It's only, you know, a couple of hours from Sydney. So perfect,
20:14
beautiful. And what's been your favorite thing over the four days
20:20
there's been a lot,
20:22
it's been a lot good, lot of emotions. Location is amazing, having the animals around, being surrounded by beautiful women and feeling maybe safe
20:38
when opening up and talking about your personal situation, life, work, business, goals, dreams, and not feeling judged. And I think as a woman, that's um, rare. So I think maybe that's my favorite. It's sort of feeling so you can feel more vulnerable, to be able to really delve deep and explore what's going on in our crazy bodies, I suppose. Yeah, and what have you learned? Leanne, Oh, good. I need therapy.
21:13
I need to continue this. I really do. I've started something now. I'm journaling, which I've never done before. I'm really thinking about me,
21:26
but not in a selfish way, and I really just need to continue on the journey. Yeah, I do need to talk to somebody and let more things out, to be honest. And
21:36
did you know that before you came nope, nope. I was fine, because I was pushing it all way down, down, down, and everything was fine, and I'm happy and life's great. So No, no, no, I am feeling a lot better already by talking about over the last four days,
21:52
I would say minor, basic things that are at the surface, but I think there's a lot more things that I need to get out there and share and talk about and
22:02
lighten the load, I suppose. Yeah,
22:06
yeah, very well described, yeah. And why should people come?
22:12
Everyone should come. You and I've had this conversation, everyone should come to a retreat like this, where you actually take time for yourself, you are forced, in a good way, to think about reflecting on your life, your feelings, your emotions, your goals. We've all gone through something, some form of trauma in our life. As a child, an adult partner, daughter, sister, we've all got so much to say. We've all got a big story to tell, and there's ups and downs with all of that, and you need to let it out. Gonna be a better human for it.
22:55
So if you can describe it in three words, oh, goosebumps, right now,
23:03
love and we've had a lot of laughter, but that's my life anyway, but it's great. We've brought that here, and with that, we've reconnected and connected with some really lovely women.
23:16
Probably also need that a bit more as well, so we're happy to share that if we can. So love laughter and
23:24
goosebumps. It's all goosebumps, it's all feelings, it's all Oh my god. It's great. 100% everyone should be doing this. Fantastic. Hi. I'm Julie. I'm an aged care psychology consultant.
23:38
And tell me why you came on this retreat? I came on this retreat because I attended one of Emma's previous retreats, and we set goals and intentions, so it was really good to revisit those and to see where I'm at at this point, it's time, awesome. And what has been your favorite thing?
23:59
The favorite thing was the guidance and learnings from Emma around evaluating where I am on my journey, and it's been incredible to meet other women who work in completely different industries Also connect and
24:20
work together, together towards our, you know, goals. Because even though we're so different, we have lots of things in common, so true. And what have you learned? I've
24:31
learned the importance of slowing down and just how much it's needed for my lot of work. And, you know, it you can't rest and receive if you are constantly on the go. So I've learned just how important it is for my well being and the service that I provide
24:52
so good. And I've got goosebumps.
24:55
Why should people come? They'll be silly not to.
24:59
I think they.
25:00
Need to make time in their schedule. I know that at this point of time, finance is a big barrier for a lot of people, but I think if we're looking at our longevity and the quality of service that we provide, it is essential that we nourish ourselves and that we take time out of our schedule to reflect so that we can better serve our clients, and ultimately live more fulfilled lives.
25:25
And if you could describe it in three words, the experience,
25:31
I would say it is,
25:37
it's mind opening. So that's one word.
25:42
It is really powerful, and it is,
25:50
I don't know, it's incredible. Yeah, yeah. Thank you. Anything to add?
25:58
Thank you and Emma for being such great hosts on this retreat, and I feel
26:05
very well looked after. And I think that when you are a busy professional and a busy mum, it's really hard to receive that help and guidance. So even like you making a cup of tea and doing little things, all these things like have been so much. And I think that, yeah, it's really important to note that when you attend workshops, it's not just about the bigger picture, you know, it's all about those finer details as well that you know will stay with you. And yeah, hi.
26:37
My name is Isabel, and I run my own marketing company called Ferris water,
26:43
digital, amazing. And why did you want to come on this retreat? And so I came on this retreat because I had signed up for one of Emma streets about two years ago, but that got canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. So I've always been wanting to come to one of Emma's retreats, and this one came at the right time. And also I get to pet farm animals, which is the key selling point for me, and everything's provided as well.
27:14
And what's been your favorite thing? I was gonna say the biggest highlight I can predict this question.
27:22
So my favorite thing about this retreat is basically meeting the people here. And even though we've even though we've only known each other for two days, we get along so well. I think it's just because Emma has rare, beautiful energy about her, so she's able to bring together all these people who are strangers.
27:42
That's why Australia,
27:45
so Emma, is able to bring together all these people who are strangers, and bring them together do shared activities together so that they can, I guess, build relationships with each other, until you realize that you've only known each other for a short time, but it feels like you've been friends for a while. Yes, absolutely. And what have you learned? I think I have learned that
28:13
if,
28:14
well, my favorite thing that I learned was writing, where we wrote the future letter to ourselves, pass it to our future selves. And Emma was saying something about being very specific with numbers and writing it as if those things had already happened,
28:31
and somehow they will happen because, because it changes your mindset around it, where it's already happened in the mind. So then you believe in it, and then you actually work towards them. I love that. And you actually already had things happen while you were on the retreat.
28:48
So you're receiving when you're doing nothing, there's no work happening, and things are miracles happening. So on the retreat, and this is probably why one of the best things to retreat, there are so many favorite things, so
29:03
Oh, no wait. So I take away that the other best thing that I said, this is the best thing that has done a retreat since I once on this retreat, I have received one client, my client paying me, my first payment from her. This is a new client. I received free tickets to an event in my city. So it's very big event. It's called the Avery fringe, and it's an annual arts festival where you go and watch local artists and international artists perform, and then I'm probably gonna receive something when I get back
29:34
the three thing, yeah, three things.
29:37
And why should people come? People should just come to get this beautiful and to get stuff you will receive when you come here, receive stuff, yeah, in so many ways. And eat
29:50
good food. Good food, amazing. And if you were to describe it in three words,
29:57
fun, inspiring, you.
30:05
Delicious, delicious,
30:07
beautiful and anything to add. No nothing else. Thanks so much. Isabel,
30:15
awesome. I'm Tanya, a mum, a wife and a vivacious
30:22
and can you tell me? Why did you want to come on this retreat? I think the thing that appealed to me was Emma, first, second, worst, and just the fact of getting away and doing something for me and learning about my emotions, about just the feelings I have inside and the goals that we can set, and just it's been beautiful. It's everything that I wanted and more amazing. So what has been your favorite thing?
30:54
My favorite thing has been burning in the fire, not you, not you. Sorry, sorry, affirmations and letting go negative negativity and just actually, really looking at emotions
31:09
100%
31:10
and what have you learned? I've learned that I am fierce, that I am vivacious, that I am strong and I'm amazing.
31:19
I'm getting goose bumps all over. And why should people come What would you say to a friend that If Emma find yourself, find the person you were or you meant to be, and find the emotions that you didn't realize you had, and put them on paper, paper and pen, that's 100% and if you could describe it in three words,
31:40
Soul releasing. I think that's maybe too
31:44
emotional and enlightening. Oh, thank you so much. Thank you.
31:50
Yes, and Amanda is the best nourishing coach out there, and everyone has to check
31:58
her out. Excellent. Is Georgia Davies
32:02
and and this weekend, I found out that I was courageous, resilient and fun. I love it. And why did you want to come on this retreat? I had a bit of a health crisis a couple of years ago, and I wanted to celebrate the anniversary in a way that felt special to me
32:22
and help try and heal the bits of me that I still thought weren't put back together.
32:29
Getting goosebumps and what's been your favorite thing?
32:35
Have a couple of favorite things.
32:37
Getting to know the ladies was really fun. Going on an adventure was really fun. We walked out of the creek, and I enjoyed that, because I kind of went off on my own, as I used to do, and it made made me remember that I was still the same person.
32:55
That was fun, fabulous. And what have you learned
33:01
aside from being fun and resilient and courageous, I learned that
33:08
I have lots of ideas inside my head that I need to get out,
33:13
which is, excuse me, been really good.
33:18
I've talked to Emma and
33:21
work with her to unleash all my possibilities
33:26
so wonderful. And why should people come? Why should you not?
33:33
And can you wrap it up in three words,
33:39
healing. Do
33:43
a fun restorative.
33:46
I love it and anything else to add.
33:51
Don't think about it too hard, just commit to it and do it. That's what I did.
33:57
So wonderful. Thank you so much. Well done for coming and Happy anniversary.
34:03
I'm Amanda, and I am a self nourishment specialist, helping people have more fun and joy in their life. And I came on this retreat to be support for rest and receive, and Emma hosting and I
34:24
have had the most incredible time meeting amazing humans, being surrounded by this
34:30
fabulous
34:32
summer.
34:34
And my favorite thing has been
34:39
eating delicious food, doing deep work and connecting with incredible people, and I've learned that we're all fucking warriors, and we all need to shine our light more and more and more in the world and step away from fear. Why should people come?
34:59
They should come.
35:00
Come because life is an adventure, and this is an incredible adventure, an adventure in nature, an adventure to an amazing venue and an adventure within
35:11
and if there were three words to describe the experience, they would be adventure, connection and
35:22
deliciousness.
35:27
Hello, hi. I'm the I'm Emma Lovell, and I'm the founder of rest and receive retreat.
35:33
And why did you create this retreat? So the company is now called rest and receive but the when I started running retreats, that's what I named them. So rest is about taking time and space for you, which people often don't do, and then what happens is, when you rest, when you create space, you allow opportunities to come in. So that's receiving and being open to receiving. And so this is actually the final rest and receive as it is, because now the entire company takes on that ethos. And so I'm, I was so excited my honor to host this one, but I'm, I can't wait to see what comes next as well. Beautiful. And what is your favorite thing? What has been your favorite thing about this retreat, it's always the people and how they come together. But also I really wanted to get to this space. So kangaroo Valley, baranka retreats was my original destination two and a half years ago, and then, sadly, the road closed due to fires and floods, and the venue could no longer take bookings. And I was devastated, because I had visited this incredible place. There's this amazing escarpment up there. I just knew there was a really special energy. And I just I knew that we had to fulfill the vision of coming back and so to get here and to get to share it with this beautiful group, and the timing was as it's meant to be, because everyone was meant to be here, the people who came were meant to be here at this time with us, and I just feel like it's really a full circle moment, and it's kind of closed the loop in a most beautiful way, but it's also opened the door to opportunity that we could come back. And
37:13
what have you learned?
37:15
I've learned to trust in the vision. I've learned to trust in the process, and that things take time, and so it's something that I teach and that I share, and that it's okay that it takes a little longer than you think. It's okay that doesn't look the way you thought it might look. It will happen. It will just happen in the way it's meant to. But you have to trust and you have to stay true to it, and things will try to knock you off course. But just keep coming back to the why and the intention, and it's you know. You're not quite sure why. It's calling you, but you trust that, because then wonderful things can happen, as they have, and we've all experienced that. Why should people come? People should come on a rest and receive a treat, and they're going to look different. There's going to be specifics, there's going to be different themes and tones. But I think going on a retreat and coming on one with us is that you just don't give yourself the time and space you need to be who you are, to tap into what is your vision? What is your dream? What is your wants? What do you want for your life? And I just think that people have a misconception about what a retreat is. And so just take a chance, and especially if you've got a sort of itch or an inkling honor that, and go with it and say yes, because you will be brought together in a beautiful space with incredible people at the right time. And you know, even if it's a challenging experience, you're going to learn. So you're going to learn, and you're most probably going to learn about yourself. So give yourself the gift of this opportunity and say yes to a retreat, certainly to a rest or receive retreat. Humble opinion,
38:55
and what has surprised you the most,
38:58
always, the people surprised me. You just there's always alignment and synergies and things that connect people that you just couldn't have planned and how they connect and how it all works together. So again, it's so important, I think, to allow the time and space for that connection to happen. The people sometimes fill retreats, or you feel like you need to over, deliver and give, give, give and fill the time and do all the things. No, you just need to get people in a room or in a space, in a beautiful place, and allow them and see what what comes you know, they're going to make that happen together. And I just, um, I love the first from the first interaction to over three nights, four days, what comes out and what you learn about these wonderful humans.
39:46
And if you could sum it up in three words,
39:51
this rest and receive retreat at baranka, retreats in kangaroo Valley
39:59
is magical.
40:03
All aligned, and I want to say as it was meant to be, which isn't one word, it's, it's just,
40:12
it just was, it was, right, yeah, magical alignment, right,
40:17
as it was meant beautiful. And now I've got goose behind and huge. Thank you to you for actually hosting it and bringing all of these people together. Been an absolute delight. Anything to add, no
40:31
