00:00:41: I'll be sharing episodes weekly about how I carbonose business travel and self-care.

00:00:46: i also bring on incredible guests who share their journeys with women's challenges And How They're Creating A Life Day.

00:00:53: Love Let's jump in and get dreaming.

00:00:57: this is space for YOU to manifest a life you love.

00:01:02: I would like to acknowledge and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first peoples of this place, now known as Australia.

00:01:17: From here on Eugenberg country and from wherever you are listening I pay my respects to the elders past and present.

00:01:22: Hello lovely, welcome today's podcast where we're just having a little existential crisis in asking who am i?

00:01:31: And what do I do when how people see me now always start my podcasts with my guests of saying Who Are You In?

00:01:38: Your Words can send them into panic but it is really important.

00:01:44: We share who we are and how he wanna tell the world about ourselves but it's also important to understand how others see us.

00:01:51: And now if you didn't know one of the hats I wore on what is that?

00:01:56: I guess ways that i worked with people was personal brand coaching, and it's funny because took me a long time to be able say coach like the word coach.

00:02:05: And realize that my block in my issue with how i spoke by myself and then.

00:02:10: You know since they have been able to say freely Though it's funny because I'm now going through an evolution of leaving coach behind and still very much in my.

00:02:21: The pleasure coach is the way that i, my brand is referred to but.

00:02:26: In how I see myself.

00:02:28: um so anyway had this thought you know what personal brand disease?

00:02:33: how do you say yourself and how others are you?

00:02:36: And how does all came to be?

00:02:38: is that I've started using word consultant instead of couch end.

00:02:43: it actually started about six months ago on my bledual life retreat.

00:02:47: So I was hosting the retreat in India and i get everyone to do an exercise.

00:02:52: so one of the workshops is all about income, wealth ,and how you're making money .

00:02:58: And we explored what they are currently doing?

00:03:02: What's working?

00:03:03: ?What would like them to leave behind or maybe things that they'd like to explore?.

00:03:07: The last quickfire question was what's one new revenue stream you'd like to explore.

00:03:15: And I wrote down a consultant and it was, okay because when i initially launched my book The Art of Pleasure ,one of the things that I thought would be doing primarily is consulting with corporates or organisations about how they could incorporate pleasure.

00:03:37: but go that way.

00:03:38: This is the way the world works, and universe works right?

00:03:40: It just doesn't always paint out the way you intend.

00:03:45: I thought i'd be doing more speaking than it was on their topic but ended up actually doing a little coaching.

00:03:52: That's where my The Bleacher Life course came And also we're doing the coaching through the retreats.

00:03:57: So I sort of kept the consultant word But wasn't getting inquiries Wasn't talking about or using in language and almost had decided, oh that's not the path right now.

00:04:10: Like if it comes up sure I can...I've been a consultant.

00:04:16: i do consult people.

00:04:17: um The word gets used a lot without actually understanding what means but writing it down like that was like huh okay.

00:04:27: so I just didn't do anything about it Just left it.

00:04:29: So that was November twenty-twenty five in India And then I was having a call with someone who was actually my coach, and saw me go through this identity shift.

00:04:40: And changed from running a business for ten years into working as myself is personal brand.

00:04:47: I wasn't ready to change the business name.

00:04:48: that took me another few years To go from lovely communications to Emma Lovell.

00:04:52: But what i was doing then offering coaching services but wouldn't call it Coaching at The Time She Was My Coach And so I released.

00:05:01: but i said to her like hi get it you're a coach again.

00:05:03: that's what i do, but i can't call myself back took me awhile.

00:05:07: So funny enough is having a call with her few months ago.

00:05:09: how are ya going?

00:05:10: whats happening?

00:05:11: lovely friend wonderful mentor and she was talking about coaching industry again.

00:05:17: then how its quite challenging space.

00:05:20: at the moment in every second person you know he's a coach.

00:05:24: in Australia particular.

00:05:26: there other cultures where they have coaches is very normalised.

00:05:30: But in Australia where I live, even though i work with people all over the world it's not always something that people think they need or want.

00:05:39: Or potentially you know when there is less income going around?

00:05:45: Is that really what we're gonna pay for to be told what-to do like... Even if your guiding and working on them but right now its just needed to be done is what I kind of feel like people are saying.

00:06:03: Anyway, in just talking she said consultant and it was just so few moments in my life where you're.

00:06:12: the light bulb comes on...the lightning bolt..the jolt!

00:06:16: And i was like oh my gosh six months ago....I heard a word

00:06:20: consultant!!

00:06:21: Like I wrote it

00:06:22: down!!!

00:06:23: I'm a consultant and its just like the cards...like dominoes all fell.

00:06:29: And I was like, oh my gosh it just makes so much sense especially from a retreat business.

00:06:33: Like...I am consulting!

00:06:35: I'm advising..I'm telling people this is what you have to do and potentially sitting with them going let's do this.

00:06:45: Do that.

00:06:46: This Is What You're Going To Get An Outcome.

00:06:48: You will host the retreat.

00:06:51: If you structure in these way which i've shared with you It Will Be Profitable And It'll be A New Income Stream and highly profitable.

00:06:59: I have clients who are doing six figures, over a hundred thousand dollars at a room.

00:07:05: so we're telling you to work in the travel industry just like they had a client pay five hundred thousand for Glastonbury.

00:07:10: and i'm like how do you even pay five million dollars?

00:07:13: And it's like...how many people?

00:07:14: when was this?

00:07:15: like fifty people?

00:07:16: It depends on there.

00:07:19: but if you've got ten clients going with a ten-thousand dollar retreat that's one hundred thousand Obviously, we could talk about profitability.

00:07:27: So that's profit and it needs margins which is totally what I tell people about.

00:07:32: like.

00:07:32: It's all well and good to make a hundred thousand dollars so not awesome if you only get keep five.

00:07:38: So anyway was like oh Yeah Okay That's possible.

00:07:42: And thats What my clients are doing?

00:07:44: And its through the way i'm telling them yes sometimes Its bit of mindset work.

00:07:50: there Is coaching and guiding but sitting in the consulting category.

00:08:00: But, I sort of had this thing the other day where it was like okay i'm gonna reach out to someone and I just said...I wanted make some connections..and was going tell her a bit more about the consulting than just a friend!

00:08:11: And so I said oh I was gonna ask you what type person would love work with?

00:08:18: It's just launched in and started telling me people that could connect too.

00:08:22: And I was like, oh that's so great.

00:08:24: But i feel like you're talking about my speaking and my emceeing Which is work That I also do.

00:08:30: it just Like yeah but isn't that the Work You Love?

00:08:32: And I Was like Yeah!

00:08:34: I would love to Do more of that as well.

00:08:37: Um...you know this Is something that I teach people About is like diversification Of your income streams.

00:08:43: It's So important um..and that you don't have To be Just one thing.

00:08:47: BUT When you're trying to get people to support You and work with you into refer to you obviously need to tell them the thing And if he told him seven things then they'll like okay.

00:08:58: Well, oh how do I talk about him now?

00:09:01: So Interesting that she thought of me as an MC in speaker was like love it keep going down their thread.

00:09:06: But I just made me curious so i went and did a post on all my socials and said hey and I've done this before we've done.

00:09:14: It is a poll when I once doing the rebranding I'm repositioning of like, what would you call me?

00:09:21: And at the time it was Retreat Host.

00:09:22: But they were all their things.

00:09:24: but if i have to choose one its Retreat host.

00:09:27: So great thing is that people are not calling just thinking when's your retreat?

00:09:33: They understand now that Im teaching coaching working with people to launch their retreat and I didn't want to get stuck in there.

00:09:45: One Thing The Problem Is If You Don't Stay sort of keep talking about the one thing for long enough, then it gets lost.

00:09:52: So people have known me for many years so in their head I'm on my own being or now they're saying that most any who thought was interesting to see what people thought.

00:10:02: So post and I'll just share with you.

00:10:05: think this is such a lovely exercise too.

00:10:07: do i really encourage you?

00:10:08: so?

00:10:08: I used to do it in my personal branding work when I give these exercises talked about at the podcast before And you ask five people for three words to describe you.

00:10:21: So if you didn't know me from a bar of soap, and you had to tell somebody who is Emma Lovell what are the three words he would use?

00:10:29: Please love it!

00:10:30: If you listened to this I'd love to hear from.

00:10:32: so send me your DMs...and by all means i would love to do that too.

00:10:36: We've done actually ends up being one of my favourite exercises on retreat because sometimes we haven't known these people very long but first impressions do count The three words and often people end up in tears because so often the way that others see us is actually, much more beautiful.

00:10:57: And kind than we talk about ourselves or might have just a different view of us then when you look at what they're doing.

00:11:07: but it's always good to get this outside perspective.

00:11:09: cause your over here.

00:11:11: You know whole story Your working away But how has been received?

00:11:17: And so I said, if you had to tell someone else what i do in a few words or one sentence What would you say?

00:11:26: and the comments that got were some of them are lovely.

00:11:30: Some of it was interesting!

00:11:31: I really wanted like a role or title but...I didn't ask that.

00:11:35: So right.. I didn't asked specifically.

00:11:38: I asked for a few word or one sentences.

00:11:40: So.... I got Liv's life out loud and shows others how Love It Love what you do so.

00:11:48: You never feel the need to retire like great Glows infectiously, which is very kind.

00:11:55: people connector love that.

00:11:58: Sold out retreats and shows others how I'm like awesome Family focused mum who travels the world for work in pleasure writing books hosting retreats And bringing joy to people around her all with bling attached.

00:12:11: I was like, can i just put these in my bio?

00:12:13: Like...I'm just gonna write a bio based on All These Lovely Things.

00:12:18: and somebody else said lives life but the-my favorite one Was um someone said I asked One of The Children what they thought you did.

00:12:24: And They Asked is this the friend With A Cute Kid In Pink Jacket That Just Travels All The Time?

00:12:29: ?

00:12:29: And When I Said Yes ,They Said I Don't Know But She Must Be Good At It Because she Doesn'T Ever Seem to be Working Just Always On Holidays Which..I Thought Was delightful and wonderful.

00:12:41: I was like, can i just put that in my bio?

00:12:42: That um...I'm very good at whatever I do!

00:12:46: And it has been a theme.

00:12:48: People seem to trust and believe me and know that Im professional even if they cant quite understand.

00:12:56: so people like what their receiving.

00:13:02: So thats good.

00:13:03: but the downside is she doesn't know what work ive done And she's a teenager, that's okay.

00:13:09: But you know could my friend have answered the question?

00:13:14: Again I don't ever want to be put in one box... ...I don't want two..to have ONE thing.

00:13:21: but what i am understanding is like for our time.

00:13:29: You and me have talk about ONE thing more or we say this is the thing I'm focusing on and I would like your help with it.

00:13:38: And so for me, there are two things that I love and you know.

00:13:43: to my friend's point.

00:13:44: I loved speaking in a love MCing .I got to MC at Charity Gala the other day called All In The Mind.

00:13:50: it is an organisation which supports people who have brain tumours or brain cancer with mental health support Which was... So important!

00:13:59: In such a gap treatment as one thing but the mental-health support around such a huge thing in their life for them and their families is so important.

00:14:07: So we were raising funds to that, I just loved being on the stage!

00:14:11: And i love being part of that room and getting more to learn about these causes and doing my part and be paid for it... It's a

00:14:20: blessing!!

00:14:21: I LOVE what I do and I love

00:14:22: that!!!

00:14:23: Yes please more of

00:14:24: that!!!!

00:14:25: So I have tell people I am available as an MC facilitator panel host interviewer.

00:14:32: Obviously you can talk.

00:14:33: You're listening to the podcast and a speaker, so I have many topics that i could speak about business travel...business and travel with a child being mother really?

00:14:47: Business or Being Mother but also retreats and retreat is a big focus of what I do.

00:14:54: And how do I travel the world and make money?

00:14:58: Retreats has been incredible way and it's a way that I can teach people That they could have this revenue stream.

00:15:04: They can participate in the retreat industry And get to do incredible experiences Whilst making money, whilst changing people lives like its such beautiful circle.

00:15:15: Its why i love retreat.

00:15:18: But...I had to clear on how I helped People.

00:15:23: It was consulting piece.

00:15:24: so What are the things that I'm focusing on?

00:15:28: Retreat consultancy and speaking in MC.

00:15:32: So if i got to speak about do thing around retreats or speak at retreat, love it!

00:15:40: But I LOVE helping people and working with this wonderful client.

00:15:45: she's just launched her retreat going into India And I love the way it evolved and loved how we did a podcast episode for her podcast together.

00:15:57: How responsive she is, what to do next steps?

00:16:06: She has my course, the host profitable retreats course that you can lean back on.

00:16:10: but fundamentally she's business owner.

00:16:16: She knows how to handle a group, but to bring it all together and take people.

00:16:22: To India as a group in order moving parts of you know even when I'm telling what it is.

00:16:30: then how do they payments setting the price than want to include him not included?

00:16:35: there are actually a lot decisions that go into retreat process and so to have somebody in your corner and that's with consulting packages at three months where I have WhatsApp support as well, we do.

00:16:48: We have six calls available Where i can just jump in and answer those questions And really would've loved to have that at times for myself Just had the other person go.

00:17:00: should I do this or what's next step?

00:17:02: Or okay This is like what you know.

00:17:05: which lever do I pull now?

00:17:09: That kind of role?

00:17:10: um...we also just launched VIP days.

00:17:13: so While I have two businesses, i am in a level...I run all of it.

00:17:19: so ultimately you'll be working with me.

00:17:21: It doesn't really matter under which banner or how you found me Which company?

00:17:26: I invoice through its All contributing to what I call the pleasure life and Ultimately The vehicle through which I do is consulting at the moment.

00:17:40: but You know it's interesting because People would call me different things and I've had different titles, but you know coach facilitator emcee speaker host guide Now consultant.

00:17:53: But i realized there's such a core thread Through any of them in.

00:17:57: we have to pick a title because it's easier To sort of convey instead of having some long-winded sentence or a lengthy podcast every time.

00:18:05: We want to tell people that the through threat is that I help people To move through experiences.

00:18:11: So whether I'm on the stage, where they're leading a retreat?

00:18:15: Whether I am facilitating and conversation Consulting all this strategy so that you can launch your profitable retreat Speaking of podcast Coaching somebody one-on-one.

00:18:27: I'm helping them to move through an experience Helping them to go from here to hear And it is guided.

00:18:35: That has led.

00:18:36: that is You know instructed.

00:18:40: that is the work I'm doing.

00:19:10: give me the answer.

00:19:12: How do I get to this?

00:19:14: or work with me, make it happen?

00:19:18: That's how i got into that!

00:19:20: So...i needed you to tell us where we are at and i'm literally calling people and emailing them because a lot of my business in early days was through referral and word-of mouth which is best as i have good people around.

00:19:39: They're like me.

00:19:41: they tell someone who would be like them and then I liked him.

00:19:44: You know, so you know your work with people.

00:19:46: You'd like it where people do trust?

00:19:48: And the people that you have a vibe with.

00:19:49: So i really would still love For good people in my world to be telling other Good People In Their World about The Work That I'm Doing.

00:19:58: so I haven't asked and that is if you see an opportunity You Know Someone Who Is Looking for To get into retreats launch a retreat or is currently running one and it's just not working out And we've seen them run before and then they want to do it again, but they wanted to be more profitable.

00:20:15: That's something I can do.

00:20:16: I also offer done for you so I can literally Create the entire retreat from start-to-finish So that they can just host it.

00:20:25: Or if say your an organization are corporate when a small retreat?

00:20:29: I could also create those.

00:20:32: or If There's a conference, a gala.

00:20:37: A thing that needs an MC or speaker could even be... Sometimes I've spoken for groups of three-or four.

00:20:44: you need to get a guest speaker.

00:20:46: That is what i also love.

00:20:47: So if you want to think with me and If You Want To Refer Me Retreat Consultant Speaker MC By all means yes!

00:20:56: I am the lady who works from anywhere in Gallivants around The World And will never stop And I'm living my pleasure life and I'll always do that, but i do deliver work.

00:21:08: Contrary to my lovely friend's teenage daughter... well she knows that I work!

00:21:13: But she doesn't see the work.

00:21:15: so then it is my role to tell you about the work.

00:21:18: So this is the work that I'm doing.

00:21:19: ,this is the word that I am loving and would love more of it.

00:21:22: .So if you are hearing this or thinking someone send me a note, email connect us..I hope a little bit of inspiration as well to kind of reassess how you're being seen, how your are being received and perceived.

00:21:41: Ask the simple question like I did hey can give me a few words to describe or if had choose a role or title what would say feedback is valuable?

00:21:51: And then go out tell people that they want them know that you're a speaker or your writing book, or working with this type of client.

00:22:07: Or whatever you want them to know about you.

00:22:10: they only gonna know if you tell them so like go forth and tell people!

00:22:15: And be clear.

00:22:17: This is what I do.

00:22:18: these are the types of people?

00:22:19: The ask-is can you help me Tell People About What i'm Doing and get to more than work That I love?

00:22:26: Like What A

00:22:26: Gift?!

00:22:28: This was also inspired in part If You Haven't Watched It yet top recommendation.

00:22:33: The Kylie documentary, I just watched.

00:22:35: it was amazing and It's really interesting.

00:22:37: she went through her own identity shift and multiple identity shifts And one of the- She had this really lovely moment of aha When...she wasn't always called a pop princess.

00:22:48: then that kind of thing like oh i want to be the pop princess or like.

00:22:50: do you wanna take that seriously?

00:22:52: So then when all Indy was not received well and then Nick Cave said Your pop and pop is joy.

00:23:00: And you're good at it, people love it.

00:23:02: Why are you trying to like nuke?

00:23:04: You don't choose.

00:23:05: Indy Do what your'e good at.

00:23:08: She went back to pop.

00:23:09: We bloody loved her!

00:23:11: The queen of pop the pop princess.

00:23:13: she's incredible.

00:23:14: So sometimes It does need somebody To be a mirror and reflect Back to you so that you can get back to doing What u love.

00:23:23: Alright as always longer than I expected.

00:23:26: i hope it's been helpful.

00:23:28: love to hear from you, loved here.

00:23:29: three words.

00:23:30: tell me your three words about me.
