Hello, gorgeous, and welcome to today's episode about diversifying your income and the challenges that might come from also the bleisure life. So one of the biggest things that I think I hear is a barrier to entry with accessing life where you're combining your work and your travel, is people just say, I don't have enough money, or, you know, this, there's this thing you need to save for. And I just think, yeah, you definitely, I think there's places and times to save money. And then I think there's times where it's like, you know what, it doesn't matter how much you save, it's so much better to make more money, so you can save more. But why not make make more, and I've always been in the make more camp, and that there are so many ways to make money. And I dive into this in my wonderful new book, The Art of pleasure, there's a whole chapter and it talks all about how I have diversified my income over the years. But I did give a little snippet of this in my recent wells, and recent actually, it was March 2024, I did a talk at the University of Technology, Sydney. And if you listen to the last episode on this podcast, the Emma Lovell show, you would have heard me talking about the alternate career path. And that's what I talked about at UTS. I was talking to undergrad to graduate sorry, about and UTS alumni about how you can take an alternate path, how you can you can kind of create the life that you want create a life that you love, working and traveling and not having this work, work work holiday type life, not being just subscribing to four weeks of annual leave. And that's it for the year. So whether you're running a business or you're in corporate, these diversifying your income tips will help you. I've also in this episode included the section on challenges because I think it's all well and good for me to say get more money. But I think one of the biggest challenges that we face in business, but I also think it'll be in life is managing money. And financial literacy is just not talked about enough. So I wanted to share that really openly. And I do share that in the book, about learning about financial literacy, and also about some of the challenges I've had personal and business with finance. And although you want to make more money, you also want to get to keep that money and and use it wisely. And then just you know, if you were to consider maybe leaving your job or to travel as you go, just some things to think about more so for the business owners so if you're running your own show, or running a side business just to have a think about some of the things while traveling, working, there are some downsides or just things to consider. I'd say some choices you're gonna have to make so just have to be mindful of those and it's really this is like, do as I do as I did for the income but do as I say for some of the lessons about the downsides because I've definitely learned the hard way, but you're gonna hear all that on this episode, and you're gonna learn a hell of a lot more about it. In my book, The Art of bleisure I'm Baring All I relentlessly honest, and I want to help you to travel more, make money and live a life you love. Alright, let's jump in.
